Finger-Food Potato Mochi with Tofu
For Stage 3 babies (10 months or older) who are eating by hands. Using potato and tofu as a base, this mochi has a mild flavor with the subtle sweetness of Koji Amazake. Good as a snack or even as a meal!

Ingredients
Ingredients : about 15 pieces (3.5 cm)
- Potato 1 medium potato (100-130 g)
- Firm tofu 50 g
Seasonings
- Koji Amazake 2 tbsp
- Salt pinch
- Salad oil small amount
- Potato starch 1 tbsp
Instructions
- 1Wash the potato and use a knife to cut an X into the skin. Wrap in a damp paper towel and then a piece of plastic wrap.
- 2Heat potato in microwave for 2 minutes (600W), then turn over and heat for another 1 minute and 30 seconds. Peel potato.
- 3Break tofu into chunks by hand and drain any liquid.
- 4Put potato in a mixing bowl and mash with a masher or fork. Add Koji Amazake and continue to mash.

5Add crumbled tofu to potato mixture, then add salt and potato starch. Mix well.
Shape mixture into balls about 3.5 cm in diameter (approx. 10 g) and flatten. - 6Heat oil in a frying pan. Cook flattened balls on both sides until browned. *If using dried green seaweed, add 1/4 tsp of seaweed to half of the potato mixture in step 5) and knead it together.
Tips
・Poke the potato with a skewer through the wrap and,if it is still hard,
continue to heat it for increments of 30 seconds.
・Potato mochi dough may be frozen in plastic wrap.
・Cooking time does not include chilling time.
