Ingredients
Ingredients : 5 mini cups (50 ml)
- Koji Amazake 125 ml
- Cake flour 70 g
- Baking powder 1 1/2 tsp
Instructions
- 1In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and Koji Amazake.
- 2Put the flour mixture in a silicone muffin cup or a microwave-safe mug lined with a paper muffin cup.

3Without covering, warm the mixture for 2 minutes and 30 seconds in a microwave (600W).
To check if it is ready, stick a toothpick in the middle. A clean toothpick indicates that it’s ready.
Tips
Optional:
This steamed bun will also taste great with cubed cheese, cooked sweet potato or squash, or ground sesame seeds added to the dough.
・We recommend the use of aluminum-free baking powder.
・Cooked steamed buns can be refrigerated or wrapped individually in plastic wrap and frozen. When thawing, warm one steamed bun in its wrapping for approximately 20 to 30 seconds (600W).
